The Good Husband

The man I married is a far better husband than I am a wife.

It’s a fact and even though he will stand in front of anyone and deny it – it’s true.

He’s the type of man that will see something around the house that needs to be done -and he’ll just do it.  No questions asked.  I am the type of person that sees something around the house that needs to be done and I go in the other room and ignore it.

He works full time (an hour from home), he volunteers, he is in graduate school full time and he’s in the Air Force reserves – yet he still has the time to play with the kids, help them with their homework, attend to me and all the other things the boys and I need of him.

He’s changed many of my kids diapers without complaint.

He cooks on occasion and makes a mean lasagna.

He vacuums.

He rubs my feet.

He takes all three of the kids out on the weekends so I can work (I work from home) or catch up on blogging uninterrupted.

Above all, he has the patience of a saint.  He is my complete polar opposite in that department and I think that’s a big part of why we’re so perfectly suited for each other.  He will sit there and listen to me babble on and on about something that he could care less about (for example; scrapbooking), yet he sits there and listens intently while I ramble.

He’s an amazing man for even more reasons than I can share here.  He keeps me sane and takes such good care of me.  Plus he’s super hot.  During this time of giving thanks, to say I’m thankful for him is an understatement.
