I’m home.
We had an amazing trip, and of course I will tell you all about it, but I need to recuperate for another day or two first. We jammed SO much into the week and had so much fun! As hard as I tried to stay on east coast time while I was in California, I couldn’t help but stay on the new schedule and now that I am back on the east coast – I am paying for it. I feel like I could sleep for a week straight and it wouldn’t be enough.
And if you hadn’t noticed, my whole site basically went to shit while I was away. I am not 100%, but I am fairly certain that one of the guest posts that I put up in my absence contained a bad link and caused the whole site to go down. Sadly, I lost all my posts from 2012 and this year up until this week. I think they can be manually be restored, which I may work on a little at a time, but frankly, I am not sure if it’s worth it or not. It’s going to be a huge job and I was upset about it for the whole week. I didn’t have my laptop, so there was pretty much nothing I could do from where I was, but at least things seem to be up and running now.
Additionally, I got so many tweets and emails from people concerned about my friends and family while the attack on Boston was going on last Monday, so I want to thank everyone that checked in on us. It was a tragic event and part of me is glad that we were away and my kids were sheltered from it a little bit. I did explain a little about what went on, so that they wouldn’t be taken off guard if they hear about it when they go back to school tomorrow, but I didn’t get into too much detail. It’s sad that kids these days have to deal with things like that.
Anyways, I am still exhausted, so I will leave you with this:
It’s a picture of the La Jolla shore. The water was FREEZING, but the boys didn’t seem phased by it one bit. I have lots more pictures of that day, so check back later this week for those.
